Rope Rider Course > Lawsuit - the only option left?

Given Suncadia's continued broken promises about Rope Rider - including a letter from their head manager in late spring promising that they would start and finish construction of several holes this summer, I am wondering if it's time to get going with a lawsuit. The little bit of scratching around in the dirt they have done so far can only be designed to give us false hope that they might actually get started. There is no way they can finish it this year and it's hard to believe they will then follow through with the completion of the rest next year. Do others agree that it's time to apply greater pressure?

I agree, the only thing that will get these guys to do the right thing in a lawsuit. They promised these things in their own marketing materials and don't / didn't have any intention of following through on those promises.

I have it on good authority that they are just "pushing dirt around" rope rider right now on the 5th and 6th hole. A owner who built over there is a squeaky wheel and has promised lawsuit if they don't build those holes this summer. They have no intention to build the holes, just delay and hope the owner goes away quietly

Squeaky wheels and lawsuits won't matter after the resort goes into receivership.

Receivership may be a good outcome. A new owner has the opportunity to restore trust and rebuild where Lowes has failed to deliver... of course we hope that a new owner would WANT to come in and make Suncadia right.

Resorts are not selling. so who's going to want to buy and take on the extreme expense of this resort if it goes into recievership.

It sounds like Jared Jeffries plans to be working on and finishing Rope Rider this year. Lets hope he gets some budget for it.

I was told a few days ago by Suncadia ROA that RR is tentatively scheduled for opening in late July / early August 2011, but I will believe it when I see it!

Played at Rope Rider last Saturday in the member's only introduction round. Looking forward to playing this Friday again when it is open to the public. A great new course!

Played Rope Rider and enjoyed the winery afterwards the community has really blossomed into a first class golf destination and this was done during the greatest economic downturn since the great depression. No small feat - hope this stops all the whining. Enjoy!

Wha's up naysayers?

Rope Rider is in, finished and playing great by all reports from folks that are playing there.

Resort is funded with new venture capital group. Taxes are paid, property sales are closing and the weather is waaayyyy better than the wet side this year.

I hope all ya' all can move forward with a better attitude toward prosperity with our improving overall economy.
