I would like to request that owners of a unit in the lodge have access to the swim and fitness center. We can't fully enjoy our units if we don't have access to that facility. Are there any plans in the works to allow us to pay a day fee? Anything??

Frustrated-You have a pool at the Lodge (that only Lodge owners/guests can use). You can purchase a membership, and pay dues, to join the Swim and Fitness club if you want to use that facility. You CAN lobby the developer/ownership groups to encourage another pool at Dawson Park, but don't be surprised if that costs more. Did you buy your Lodge unit and NOT understand it only included use of Lodge pool?

I bought a unit very early on (pre-ground breaking). I was told, verbally, that all of these wonderful amenities would be available to the owners. Quite misleading.

I considered buying a unit on "first offering" and was never told the swim and fitness center would be an amenity I got for free. Laura, were you also led to believe the SPA would be something you could use for free? The golf course? You do have a pool, that frankly I enjoy (when coming up there renting a lodge unit) more than the big one: it is quieter, has a better view, and can almost always find a spot in the sun to relax. Perhaps you misunderstood, but regardless, when dealing with ANYONE (let alone a real estate developer) you should not take someone's "verbally" promising anything as the truth. What discouraged us from buying in the first place was how much price went up (from originally projected) right before sale, as well as the exhorbitant monthly assesments, and the high percentage "house" takes on rentals. All things that were very clearly written down!

Bought, love it, membership bought, revenue in lodge studio average is now $1600 mo.
